Miss Tourism Nigeria Becomes 1st Black To Win EXQUISTE FACE OF THE UNIVERSE

Miss Tourism Nigeria Queen, Collete Nwadike has emerged winner of the Exquiste Face Of The Universe 2015/2016.

She was crowned last night as the new universal queen after edging out over 50 other contestants at the event which held in Sao Tome And Principe.

Collete Nwadike who became Miss Tourism Nigeria in May 2014 was appointed SA Tourism to Anambra State Governor, Dr. Willie Obiano less than a month after her crowning; and went on to become a sensatio in Nollywood Factory & Mnet Africa's production 'The Calabash' as lead actress.

Congratulations to her and her crew. And congratulations to the Miss Tourism Nigeria organization.

Miss Tourism Nigeria World 2015 Receives Chieftancy Title

It was glitz and glamour on 14th November 2015 as Ifeoma Sharon Anya (Miss Tourism Nigeria World 2015/2016) added a cap to her crown in Umuezeora Enugwu Aguleri, Anambra state at the annual Eri Festival to commemorate the time and arrival of Eri, (the Progenitor of the Igbo race at Ime Obu-Gad Palace) as she was crowned Chief. 

His Royal Highness, His Majesty Eze Chukwuemeka Eri (JP) Eze Eri, Ezeora 34th and Eze Aka Ji Ovo Igbo was all smiles as he decorated 9 new chiefs.

He had earlier taken the guests down memory lane, and ensuring everyone understood the Igbo heritage, Ifeoma intimated him with her pet project which is to revive and rebrand the history of the igbo race which starts from aguleri (Obu-Gad) the King was so pleased with her and decided to award her with a chieftancy title as the "ADA EJI EJE MBA 1 OF ENUGWU AGULERI, Anambra State. Meaning a Woman Of Substance.

Miss Tourism Ogun beauty pageant/ Tourism Awards 2015 Grand Finale

Miss Tourism Ogun auditions have come and gone with Abeokuta, Ogun State and Ikeja, Lagos State playing host to the screening exercises.  Several contestants came and saw but after series of rigorous and unbiased screening by the judges, only 23 contestants conquered.  The screening process was further made open to the general public to vote their favourite contestants via short code messages using the contestant’s code and this process left 20 girls standing representing the 20 Local Government Areas in Ogun State.

Miss Globe 2015 is Philippines’ Ann Lorraine Colis

Miss Philippines Ann Lorraine Colis was crowned Miss Globe 2015 during the finals held October 8 at the Rose Theater Brampton in Toronto, Canada.

The 23-year-old beauty from Mexico, Pampanga is the first Filipina to win in the pageant’s 42-year existence.

Las Vegas to host Miss Universe 2015

According to the reliable sources, Las Vegas is set to host the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. According to other reports, candidates will start to arrive on November 18 for a month long celebration of beauty and grace at the entertainment capital of the United States. The pageant finals of Miss Universe 2015 is set on December 20.

Cynthia Nuñez Is Miss Mundo Dominicana 2015

Cynthia Nuñez, a 22 year old model has won the Miss Mundo Dominicana crown in a pageant held in October 7. Cynthia will now compete at the Miss World 2015 pageant in Sanya, China this December.

Mariam Habach is Miss Venezuela 2015

Mariam Habach Santucci has been crowned Miss Venezuela 2015 during the national finals held October 8.

The 19-year-old beauty dentistry student representing Lara is edged out 24 other candidates for the right to wear the powerhouse Venezuela sash in Miss Universe 2016.

A new crown for Miss Venezuela Universo, designed by George Wittels, was unveiled during the finals.

Miss Trujillo Jessica Maria Duarte was crowned Miss Venezuela Internacional and will compete in Miss International 2016.

Meanwhile, heavy favorite Miss Amazonas Andrea Carolina Rosales settled for the Miss Venezuela Tierra title. It is yet to be determined if she will be competing in Miss Earth 2015 in Austria.

Miss Grand International Queens Arrive In Style

Sunday October 4th marked the first day of arrivals for the 80+ beauties competing in Miss Grand International 2015. The arrivals lounge at Suvarnabhumi airport suddenly became an improvised runway for the beauties who paraded around for photos and videos as they were joined by MGI staff and taken to the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel, where they will stay for the first stage of competition.

The contestants also catched the eye of several guests at the Hotel who spend all afternoon asking for photographs and witnessing the preparations for the event, now on its third year.

As we mark Nigeria’s 55^th birthday, it is a time to celebrate the past and plan for the future; not an opportunity to point fingers on who hasn’t done what or who has done wrong on another. Pointing out the wrong and dishing out blames shall but leave us angry while remaining at the same spot.

Today i want us to remember the works of our fathers and mothers who fought for freedom, and gave onto us a land we can call our own. We must also remember whatever happens to the land is much your fault as it is mine, so together we must work in our own little way, no matter how small to build a land our generations unborn can be proud of.

I ask for us all, to work in integrity and honesty, with love for our fellow man, respecting everyone’s religious belief and accommodating to all with full hospitality armed with the knowledge that together we are better than when alone.

And the land of the rising sun has a new beauty queen: Chika Nakagawa, 22, 1.72 m-tall, is Miss World Japan 2015.

She will represent her country in Miss World 2015, on December 19th, in Sanya, China.

Miss Ukraine 2015 Is Khrystyna Stoloka

Khrystyna Stoloka, 18-year-old student from Kyiv, won the 25th edition of Miss Ukraine 2015. The first runner up was Elina Rudenko, 17, Miss Ternopil, and the second runner-up was Feride Ibrahimova, Azerbaijani-born Miss Zhytomyr.

Fashion Model Megi Luka Emerge As Miss Universe Albania 2015

Fashion model Megi Luka, 19, emerged as the winner of Miss Universe Albania 2015. She will represent Albania in the next edition of Miss Universe. 

Megi, will carry the Albanian sash in the upcoming Miss Universe contest

In 2nd place was Daniela Pajaziti, 18, also a model, who received the title Miss World Albania 2015. 

Pajaziti will represent her country in Miss World 2015, on December 19th, in Sanya, China.

Isis Stocco, a model and Law student from the city of Maringá, has bee declared Miss Brazil International 2015. Isis participated in Miss Brazil Universe 2013 and placed among the Top 5 finalists.

She will compete in Miss International 2015, in Tokyo, Japan, on November 5th.

Meet The New Miss Montenegro 2015

Natasa Milosavljevic, 23, won the title Miss Montenegro 2015. She is a model and actress who will represent her country in Miss World 2015, in Sanya, China, on December 19th.

Jessica Josephina Hvirvelkær Crowned Miss Denmark 2015

Jessica Josephina Hvirvelkær, 17, from Risskov, was crowned Miss Denmark 2015 and will represent her country in Sanya, China, on December 19th. She was the winner of the event held at Culture Docken in Copenhagen, on September 13th.



– “It is indescribable. It’s not quite sunk in yet”, she recently told tv2oj.dk news portal.

The current Mr World is from Denmark, however, this Nordic county is still trying to conquer its first female Grand Slam title. Can she be the next Miss World?

The queen is currently preparing to represent Nigeria at the 2015 Miss Tourism World event holding in Bangkok- Thailand in November. She hopes to be the first Black African to win the title.

VOTING DAY 14 RESULTS OF MISS TOURISM NIGERIA 2015

It’s the last round of voting week and we will be correct in all ways to say it is the week to make it or lose it.

The finalists have 7 more days to ensure that no matter what, they garner enough votes to push their way to the last 36. Most of the contestants have made quantum leap from the last Statistics Voting post; some have been able to raise as much as more than 70% votes from the last week putting them as at this week in the race to the final 36.

This week, we are publishing the voting numbers instead of statistics; this is to enable the contestants with less votes work harder towards getting enough votes to push their way through..

The statistics are in three categories.

The GREEN ZONE - this category shows contestants who currently after the first 7 days of voting are leading the pack; having gathered between 75 - 99% of votes cast.

The BLUE ZONE - comprises of contestants who have been able to gather just enough votes to put them in the 'SAFE FOR NOW' category; having gained between 50 - 75% of total votes. This group is quite shaky as contestants from the RED ZONE can quickly gather enough vote to move into this group and ultimately into the GREEN ZONE.

Our final group is the RED ZONE - comprising of contestants who have votes between 0 - 49%. Being just seven days of voting, we believe this group is the one to look out for as its members can spring surprise by gathering substantial amount of votes within the next fourteen days of voting left to jump straight to the GREEN ZONE.

Qhue Concepts, organizers of the award winning Miss Tourism Nigeria Pageant have officially launched the 2015 edition of the show themed ‘The Divas Edition’.

Open for Nigerian ladies between the ages of 17 & 26 years who are at least 5’6ft tall and above,  the 2015 Miss Tourism Nigeria pageant  event  aims  to  expose  young  Nigerian  women  to  important  issues  such  as Service in Leadership,  Entrepreneurship, Child Education, Tourism Promotion and Sustainability.  

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to also be mentored by major successful personalities from various fields during the 10 days camping of the finalists.

2014 Miss Tourism Nigeria winner, Her Eminence, Queen Collete Nwadike who became SA on Tourism to Anambra State Governor, His Excellency, Gov. Willie Obiano a month after winning the coveted crown has also become a major face in the nollywood industry after landing a mouth-watering lead role in the Nollywood factory/Mnet Africa production ‘The Calabash’.

Let me preface this article by saying there are many legitimate pageant systems with incredible reputations that have been putting on wonderful shows for many years. With that being said; on the other hand, there are a few secrets that we have all learned over the years about things that can happen, things that do happen and things we have heard about. 

Here are a few we have all experienced at the Pageant Planet:

1. Judges are not that concerned about your platform. If you are the total package they are looking for this will not keep you from winning the crown. Conversely if you have the most amazing platform at the pageant but are not what the judges are looking for, you will most likely not win.

During the live telecast of Miss Universe 2014, you might have noticed a beautiful blonde woman waving the Dutch flag everytime Miss Netherlands Yasmin Verheijen was being called. She is actually the very same woman who was zoomed in by cameras back in 2011 when Kelly Weekers was called as one of the Top 16. Who is she exactly?

She’s Kim Kotter, a name that is no longer strange to those who are avid followers of beauty pageants. As the director of Miss Netherlands pageant, she is responsible for choosing and training Dutch women for both Miss World and Miss Universe pageants. Her country is small and belongs to the European Protestant Belt – a group of industrialized and non-Catholic nations where the interest in pageantry are in the all time lows. These countries are antithesis to the European Catholic Belt which includes France, Spain and Italy where beauty pageants continue to thrive.

As the Dutch National Director, the odds are all against Kim. She has to struggle to find sponsorship. Not so many people will watch the finals of Miss Nederland as the only event that warrants attention in her country are soccer matches. So, unlike the bigwigs in pageant crazy nations, being the National Director of the Netherlands does not bring substantial monetary rewards and the cost would pile on as travel and wardrobe expenses could really put a huge dent on the wallet.

When the winner of the 2015 Miss Tourism Nigeria is crowned in the month of May in Lagos, she will have the chance to wear and own a new crown valued at $970

The huge luxury sparkling Clear Genuine Austrian rhinestones crown is set in a beautiful silver-plated setting. All rhinestones sparkle a lot and are prong set by hands! With adjustable full band. This crown is full of sparkle!

According to the Miss Tourism Nigeria Organization, the crown “symbolizes and expresses the beauty, stability, confidence and power of women around the country.”

The new crown will replaced the “aspire” crown used by the pageant from 2012 to 2014 and will be the second crown used in the Miss Tourism Nigeria since 2012.
