The Miss Universe 2015 pageant will now be under the William Morris/IMG Models since Donald Trump gave up the pageant. Donald Trump was under fire after he made some scathing remarks against the immigrants in the US. He is running for the Republican nomination for the White House. Because of his remarks many countries withdrew their participation from Miss Universe 2015 including Costa Rica and Mexico; but with the new change in ownership, it looks like those countries who vowed to boycott will now join the contest.
Earlier, reports also circulated the internet that the legendary ex-national director Ines Ligron will serve as president of the Miss Universe pageant. She was the president of the Asian division of IMG Models. However, Ines denied the rumors almost immediately.
It must be noted that no official announcement has been made yet by the Miss Universe Organization although more and more national directors have received informal information with regards to the pageant schedule.
Las Vegas has already hosted the Miss Universe pageant for four times – 1991, 1996, 2010, and 2012.
